Background: Another of my chimera series of sculptures, 'Lactating Puma' is otherwise known as 'Kedi', is a depiction of a mother lovingly breastfeeding her newborn. As gentle and loving as a new mother can be, we each have our built in 'wild cat' ready at any moment to protect our babies from danger. The mothering instinct to protect and guard our vulnerable offspring is so strong throughout the entire animal kingdom. We would fight to the death for our young if we had to.

To balance her animal side, Kedi wears a pair of very humanising shiny red pants, complete with CJ Munn's trademark heart embellishment. To sit and cuddle, skin to skin with your baby is something every parent cherishes. To be wearing massive, comfy and unflattering pants at the same time doesn't take the edge off such moments. Kedi the lactating puma is available in her original one-of-a-kind ceramic form (suitable for indoor or outdoor display - although bring in during extreme weather). She makes a wonderful companion sculpture to 'Dog Boy', who looks at her with such love and adoration it is hard to tell if he wants to kiss her or have her and her tiny baby for lunch!

Background: Jemimah, my beautiful pregnant aardvark, has the most powerful aura. Her hard stare could be aimed merely at the state of her toenails, now that she can no longer reach past her enormous bump to her feet, or could be aimed at some unseen person of whom she simultaneously disapproves and commands the attention of. She too makes a wonderful companion sculpture to 'Dog Boy', as he gazes adoringly at her curvaceous pregnant form, and she scathingly glares back at him...as if he's responsible for her current state perhaps?

Jemimah has been lovingly created in crank clay with a bronze glaze, finished with a 'nude' heart tattoo on her spine. Background: Margaret is a senior nudist. She loves to sit in her conservatory or parlour and watch the world go by as she enjoys a light breeze from her window over her soft, aged skin. But Margaret was raised properly, to be a lady. She knows which fork to use at a particular meal course. She knows how to fold napkins into swans. Background: Andre is half man, half hound (aren't they all?). Loyal, playful, lustful and greedy, Andre the dog boy was originally created as a companion sculpture for Jemimah the Pregnant Aardvark, but he works equally well as a companion for any of our female chimeras. His adoring gaze suggests love, but could also signify a different, darker kind of hunger. Mischievous and devouring or devoted and loving, like any dog can be. On different days he can be different things to different people. Submissive or masterful, you decide.

Background: Elizabeth loves her bump. Being pregnant is a magical time, full of unexpected and unexplicable things, so Elizabeth has become a magical creature for the time of her pregnancy. The babe she cradles inside her womb is nothing short of a miracle, a fairy tale come true. Of course, she hasn't yet had to wake up to the reality of a screaming child with a poopy nappy, stretchmarks and sore nipples. But while she remains in this blissful time of pure love, magic and awe at her pregnancy we allow her this wonderful moment of bonding with her unborn child.
