The process is very gentle and usually involves the pregnant model sitting comfortably, with a barrier cream such as Vaseline smeared generously over her bump and any other areas to be cast. For bellymasking or traditional low resolution belly casting, layers of warm, wet plaster bandage are used to form a belly mask or full torso mask if required, which can be smoothed and decorated if the client so wishes. The second method, high definition gel casting or true body casting, is not something we recommend you try at home.
